meeting voters in Kensington…

June 29, 2011

I have finally been able to reach people in Kensington, which, along with South Hampton, have been underrepresented due to their small size.

Since this is my second run for State Representative, I felt it important to make sure that I heard from folks on the west side of our district, and have even been attending a number of public meetings in each of the four towns–usually two or three meetings in each town. I’ve been very fortunate in being able to hear the concerns and issues from folks on the other side of I-95.

One of the biggest surprises is finding how many “Republicans” and “Democrats” are actually independent voters. It’s refreshing to hear people’s willingness to put party aside and vote for what they feel is best for the town.
